    Current numbers using TF-100

    pH-7.2
    FC-2
    CC-0
    TA-110-120
    CH-70-80
    CYA-35-40, have added 8lbs since opening when reading was zero.

    Any advice? Thanks

    You need to get your CYA in range to make your SWG happy, around 70 to 80. I'd bump that FC up to 4 or 5 with plain old bleach and make it easier on it to start too.

    Woody's got the chemistry covered.

    The important thing is How does the water look? Nobody but the people here care about the numbers; the rest of the world marvels at clarity and no small and no eye irritation. That's why we do the chemistry.

    Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.

    Just to help you remember in future, maybe print or write down the recommended levels for vinyl +swg and keep in test kit.
