Non-Chlorine Oxidizer

Back when I was young and naive, and before learning the TFPC method, I bought some non-chlorine oxidizing shock. The main ingredient is potassium monopersulfate. Is there any opportunity to use this up where it could be of any use? I am planning on opening my pool soon, and I usually dump in about 4 gallons of liquid chlorine to start. If I added the non-chlorine shock along with it, would it help at all? I just don't like to think the bags I bought will go to waste. Thanks!

Go ahead and use them. It's a good product but quite expensive......that's why TFP doesn't suggest it.

Remember the mps will show up on testing as CC.
