Need Help with plumbing Intex 18x52 dual outlets

Forgive me if this has been asked before but I didn't see it. I originally had the Intex 18x52 Ultra Frame pool for about 6 years. It finally gave out and I bought another one, the same thing. After I look at all parts, I see this one has dual outlets and my old one only had one. To make matters worse Intex decided to change those outlets to 1 1/4 inches and include this rinky dink T valve, all put together with hose clamps (and then the T goes into standard Intex hose to pump). Jeez. I want to convert to all to standard Intex hose connectors 1 1/2 inch hoses and use a different T connector to hook it all up to the pump. Would really appreciate any help as I'm sure someone has done this already. Thanks

Look at below link for installing 1.5 inch inlet and strainers. Its fairly easy. You can then get the Intex plunger valves which I actually like to control the water flow when changing out a filter, etc.
I actually upgraded my whole plumbing by installing a Hayward Skimmer, and getting an Intex 2650 sand filter pump, and hard piping everything.
