New house with pool - Old Barracuda Ranger?

Hey all.

I just bought a new house that has an AG pool. in the pile of equipment is a Barracuda Ranger cleaner. It looks to be in good shape, maybe just a bit sun bleached. However i cannot find the flowkeeper valve to go with it.

My question is how long do these cleaners typically last until you need to replace them?

I can buy a new valve for ~$50-60, but is it worth it? Or should i just invest in a new cleaner for ~$140.

Or are there better cleaners out there for roughly the same price?

I would go new for something like that unless you know for sure that part will fix it

Not the same price but I love my "the poolcleaner" poolvergnuegen

I like my ranger so far. Only used it twice but it seems to work well. Just gotta make sure filter is pretty clean. I had to back wash twice the first time I used it because of all the debris.
