Bonding wire between booster and main pump

Hi - I think the answer is yes, but i just want to confirm. I have a bonding wire that can reach the main pump, but the wire is not longer enough to reach the booster pump. Can I just get a copper wire, attach it to the booster pump and then connect it to the lug on the main pump where the bonding wire is?

yes, it should be at a minimum 8awg bare copper wire. Where the wire is spliced you should use a split bolt connector like this one. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Blackburn-6-8-Solid-Split-Bolt-Connector-6H-BB2-5/100165861
