Need help patching mortar between coping stones

Can anyone direct me to a product or process, or link to a conversation about patching / replacing mortar between (not behind) coping stones? I will post a few pictures to show what I'm dealing with.

Did they use pointing mortar or grout? Go buy a small Makita grinder and a diamond wheel. CAREFULLY grind out the joint, brush it out well and repoint with same material as originally used.

How old is the existing grout? How many voids do you have?

There are probably three with large voids, and another two where it is cracked bad enough that I should knock/grind it out and redo. How can I tell if it is pointing mortar or grout?

Is it the same color as your tile grout or more generic gray, like mortar? They could have set the coping and grouted same as the tile, or they could have buttered the edges with mortar when they set the coping. Either way, you want the repaired areas to match somewhat close to the ones you aren't touching. You never get a perfect match due to age, but close is nice.
