I'm new to the forum and thought I'd get some opinions on how to fix this. I have dye tested and found a leak from the gasket and flange of a return on the pool steps. Looks lIke the flange has come away from the wall. I asked a pool repair guy and he says to try to tighten it up by hand. However I don't want to make anything worse. The other option I was thinking was to use some epoxy putty and seal the gaps . What are your thoughts?

I think if it works and you can live with "the fix" it is good, but if you have any doubts hire a pro to do it right.. the nice thing about that is they will warrant the leak
