    Chlorine-Free Sun Shock Water Purifier

Does anyone have any input on this solar item.....does it work?

    Maybe in addition to?

    Thanks in advance.

    First, it's copper based.

Second, they have contraditary terms on their info, which sends up a red flag.

    "Replaces need for pool chemicals"
Then they say "Reduce the need for chlorine by about 80%"
So, which is it? Answer, neither.

"No more bleached hair or bathing suits, dry skin or itchy eyes"
Properly maintained, you won't have this anyway.

1: It is a copper ionizer. Copper ionizers are just about the worst thing you can use in a pool IMO.

2: That tiny solar panel will provide almost no power to run it, so it isn't even a very good copper ionizer.

So it fails on all accounts.
