    Re: Correct boric acid?

Strange, how does 99.6% plus 17.4% add up to 100%?

    Here's the one I buy
Granular Boric Acid, 55 lb [boric55] | DudaDiesel Biodiesel Supplies

    Just check the prices.
Built in 1957 44,000 gallon in-ground, Wet Edge Primera Stone in Sky Blue, Intelliflo VF Pump, 600 lb. Pentair Triton II TR-100 Sand Filter, CircuPool RG 60 Plus SWG, TF-100 test kit

It doesn't. Those are not separate ingredients. It's telling you that it's 99.6% boric acid (H3BO3) which has the equivalent boron concentration (B) of 17.4% in boron units [B]

That stuff will work just fine. If you check the grain size, that would be helpful. You don't want a fine powder.

I can get a 50 lb fine powder from fleabay $60 or 50 lb granule $94 from Duda. I'm not accustomed to using chemicals that doesn't add up to 100% or real close. Thank you for the explanation JN.

You want the granular boric acid not the fine powder. The fine powder will gat blown around by the wind and sit in the water surface. Granules will sink and mix better.

I should have mentioned, even though I posted the link to Duda, you can buy from Duda off of eBay for less than direct from Duda for some odd reason. Last time there was a $20 difference including shipping.

Well.....I ordered granule from Duda but received the fine powder. I could have acquired fine powder from another source for $34 less, so this is annoying.
