Posted yesterday for ph question. I had green algae when brushing (water clear until brushed). Raised my FC to 22 CYA was 50. Overnight test showed no loss, but I brushed the pool and had small amounts of algae poof up (dead I am hoping). Do I leave my SWG off now and when do I check everything else for balance? After the FC is down to ? Test kit TF 100

I'll be the bearer of bad news.
If you still see some algae, then the water is not clear. You're not done with the SLAM.
Keep it at shock level and if it's gone tomorrow and the CC is .5 or less and it holds chlorine overnight, then you can let FC drop below 10 and recheck things. Don't quit too soon. You don't want to be one of those people who posts, "I shocked my pool and now it's green again." Do it right the first time.
