This site is a terrific resource. We just move to a new house that hadn't been lived in for for a few years. The elderly owners moved to their condo in FL and did not come back to their NY house much apparently. The pool cover feel in over the years and grew moss and some fledgling cattails on top. I scrapped the weeds, moss and leaves off the top (hundreds of pounds of stuff). Then my husband was able to pull the cover out. Crazy. Now I am trying to get the debris out without spending too much money. Also it looks like about half of the tiles fell out. They are nice vintage looking tiles so I am hoping to resuse then. I plan to see my son, the dog, and friends swimming in the pool this summer.
