Hello. Just joined the forum.
We are replacing our vinyl liner in our pool and the steps seems to need attention as well.
I want to take this on now while there is no water in the pool.
It appears that the gel coat is delaminating and bubbling up in spots. In the little research that I have done, it seems that sanding it down to the bare fiberglass and reapplying a new gelcoat is the best strategy.
I have questions on application.
I would like to change the color to something more gray. Any problem with this?
Roll on vs spray?
type of gelcoat to use for a pool.
Is it the same as what is generally applied to a boat with the water chemistry being a factor?
I have searched and searched for for good write-ups, videos, etc. on the process and have struck out. Can anyone suggest some good info the read/watch?
