PH question (should be easy)

Just got done opening and passed the SLam

FC 10.5
PH 7.0
CYA 45
salt 2200


I'm slowly letting the FC settle into about 7, but just tested the PH (it has been a while since before the slam). It is low, and I know higher FC levels can make the test invalid. I'm wondering if I should raise the PH or if I should wait a day or two and test PH again and then add washing soda? Thanks

You are safe at 7.0. Test when FC comes down.

I would wait until FC is below 10 and also check the TA. If TA is high enough, just aerating the water should raise the pH without any chemicals. If TA is low, then add soda.

OKay thanks. Richard what would consider high enough for the TA in order to aerate? I will check the level of mine tomorrow. Before I shocked TA was about 70 if I recall correctly. Regardless, I will check it again tomorrow.

70 is high enough. Anything above is even better.
