Pool Leaf Cover - do anything different?

So I am getting one of these installed tomorrow. For a few reasons, one being safety, as I have a young child. Other reason is I have a bazillion Live Oaks that are always dropping leaves and pollen. I know it wont keep everything out, but will help with the leaves mainly.

We will put this on when we are not using for an extended amount of time, or if a storm is coming through, etc. My question is, when this thing is on, anything I should be concerned about? I will still maintain chlorine and whatever else is needed. Will still run filter and polaris, etc. Just making sure that I don't need to monitor other things when this thing is on.

i would have just cut down the oak trees

i hate oak trees, they get way too big and drop way too many leaves and pollen. as far as the cover goes, i have no idea, i dont have one. you will lose less FC for sure.

As long as you're doing routine testing/balancing and monitoring water levels, not really. If it's not opaque you will still probably lose normal amounts of FC.
