    Test Kit

Does anyone else have a problem telling the colors for the FC and PH test. It is very hard on the TC so I do the longer test each time. I have the TFP 100 kit. Thanks

    Re: Test Kit

Many people have trouble distinguishing the various shades of yellow on the simple OTO test for TC. Usually, distinguishing 0.5 and 1.0 from higher numbers is not too difficult, but telling 2 apart form anything higher than 2 is often troublesome. The OTO test is most useful for a quick check to see if you have chlorine or no chlorine.

The PH test can be a little tricky at first, but nearly everyone can learn to read it to the nearest 0.1. Make sure you are reading it in good lighting, indirect sunlight and a white background are best.
