2 Burned out Intellibrite 5G lights, incandescent alternatives?

Both of my $500+ lights burned out within 2 years of installation and I refuse to try again after reading the horrible reviews on these lights. Can I replace them with an Amerlite unit or something else in the Pentair line in the same niche? I was thinking of using the Amerlite with a LED bulb possibly down the road.

A few months back there was post with a how to on replacing the 5G circuit board. Seemed easy enough and a lot easier than switching out whole light.
