Intex ultra frame suggestions

I'd like to ask the experts here for some suggestions. After a lot of research, I've decided to go with an Intex ultra frame pool for the kids. The previous owner of my new house apparently had a pool because I can see the spot where it was. The circle measures 20', so I figured I'd get a 20' Intex. Problem is, a 20' at 52" high is hard to find in stock, especially at stored that offer some type of layaway. I do see the 48" in stock. But, a 24' at 52" is available everywhere. So, 2 questions.

Do you think a 24' will be too big?
Will there be a noticeable difference between 48" and 52"? My kids are 10 and 12, and love to swim.

Here is a picture of the area in my yard.

Judging from the pic, it looks like you have plenty of room for a 24' and the extra swim area is nice, especially at their age/size when friends are over. My yard looks smaller and I have a 24' X 48" AGP and love it, but my youngest two are 6 & 9 so the 48" works well for them. I couldn't imagine going down to a 20'...

Just using a rough estimate for the size of the area, using the 8' sections of fencing, it's about 35'x40'. My only 2 concerns with going bigger are my 70lb dog still having enough room in the yard, and eventually adding a deck to the pool.
