    SWG on with no flow

    Is it bad to have a salt water generator generating but with no water flow??

    Yes, it's bad. Chlorine gas and hydrogen gas can accumulate and potentially explode.

    Yikes. Is it bad for the life of the salt cell??

    I would think an explosion would be bad for a salt cell, yes.

    All the systems I have worked with have a flow detector to turn off the SWG when there's insufficient water flow.

    I believe they called it Mustard Gas in WWI

    No. it is not mustard gas. Mustard gas does have chlorine and hydrogen, but there are other elements as well. The formula for at least one form of mustard gas is C4H8Cl2S
