Low CH/TA

My CH and TA typically run on the low side and my ph rarely swings.

All last year it ran solid at CH 100 TA 50 ph ran around 7.4 all summer. I used less than a half gallon of acid.

My CH has dropped and I want to double check to make sure I am still running okay.

Today's test results:

CL 8
CC 0
CH 75
TA 50
CYA 40

Your numbers are fine Chris, although you didn't list the pH. Chlorine (FC) is a little strong for your CYA, but okay for now. CH is just fine. As long as your pH is between 7.6-7.8 you are in good shape.

Your TA is fine if your pH is stable.

Being that you have a vinyl liner, you do not need CH in your water. Although if it gets too low and you start seeing any foaming, then bumping the CH up a bit would likely help stop the foaming.

You FC is a little on the high side for your CYA, but it is not really a problem.

Thanks for the reassurance. I know my CL is a little high. I was talking and doing my CL test at the same time last night. I guess I can't count drops and talk at the same time LOL.
