I have two leftover Pentair Compool 263045 180 Actuator, what to do with them

So I have two Pentair Compool 263045 180 Actuators that are left over from my build. Can't return them for a refund, what should I do with them, sell on CL? What would be a fair price? I think I paid $128 ea.

Keep them (in my opinion). Actuators that are run often (say once per day) have been known to have high failure rates. Having spares on hand for a quick swap is always advisable.

The one actuator that I have installed never runs/turns due to my designer over designing my water feature pump. See this post for frustrating reading http://www.troublefreepool.com/threa...rand-New-Build

Do you plan to install solar?

I was planning but now I'm on the fence because I don't want to use a cover. I told the solar company that I had an actuator and they said their "kit" comes with one and they don't break the kits apart.

Gotcha. Yeah, I was thinking about solar heating but I don't like the idea of sticking tubes filled with water up on my roof. My long range desire is to use a solar PV array to drive an electric heat pump (there's a company here in Tucson that specializes in that) and then use any excess PV power to run the pool equipment as well. That, unfortunately, is a very pricey option (~$12k or so) so there's other lower-cost/higher-priority items on the household to-do list....

Yup, e-Bay or Craig's List is probably your best bet...Amazon is currently listing those valves at ~$133 (free next delivery for Prime members), so your asking price is very reasonable.
