My jandy/zodiac gas heater after working for few hours this morning suddenly stopped working. On zodiac remote control it says heater offline, although on heater panel it says SPA TSTAT ENABLED.

Check the wiring between the controller and the heater. Check it for continuity. Would be odfd if all of a sudden the wire went bad but stranger things have happened. You could try power resetting the control unit as maybe something in it went crazy.
