    Descriptive text for link

When I insert a link into a post, how do I modify the link to show descriptive text for the link instead of just the URL? Been trying to figure this out, but no luck.

You can just type phrase you want listed LIKE THIS, then highlight & copy that word(s). Next, just above the text field you see the hyperlink symbol (globe w/ link). Click that, and past your URL to that address, hit "OK". Done.

    Re: Descriptive text for link

No need to copy. Just highlight what you want to the the descriptive text, then click the Globe and paste in the URL.

It will look like THIS : {URL="http://www.troublefreepool.com/content/"]THIS[/URL} with square brackets instead of the curly ones

You can always edit the text too after the fact if you want to change it.

    Re: Descriptive text for link

I usually just paste the link and see what it says on its own. If I like it good, if not I edit it.
