I have a Pentair Superflo dual speed pump. The pump runs fine in high speed. It runs fine in low speed. It will start in high speed. When I try to start it in low speed, it just hums. I have replaced the capacitor on the top of the pump with a new one and I'm still having the same problem. Anybody have any advice. Is there a second capacitor inside of the motor? Help!

My guess would be corroded contacts on the centrifugal switch. How long have you had the pump?

Im not sure how old it is. I bought the house a month ago. It was working fine and started acting up a couple of weeks ago.
