New Pump

I have a Jacuzzi Magnum 1.5 hp pump. The motor been replaced around 2008. Last summer the motor died. Should I replace the motor or get a new pump? I live in upstate NY and the system is old. I bought a new DE Filter to replace the sand one the previous owners had.

Thank you.

If the wet end of the pump is still in good shape, I would only replace the motor as it's usually cheaper. Look into a dual speed motor for a good option to add some efficiency and flexibility. You could also go to a variable speed motor but they tend to cost a bit more and give even greater flexibility.
