2 Returns - upgrade pump?

So the fine people here at TFP reccomend that I get the 2 speed 1HP hayward pump and a 24" sand filter for my 28' Matrix Pool (54" with a 72" deep end).

If I decide to put in a 2nd return line - should I still stick with the 1HP pump or move to the 1.5 HP?

I will be using 2" pvc where ever possible. The pump will be about 12' from the pool.

Next weekend will be when I tackle the install. The 2nd return depends on if I can find a hole punch to rent.

I think you''ll be just as well off with the same pump.

You will be fine.I just had mine hard plumbed and 2 inlets.

I have a 2 speed 1hp pump with 2 suction side and 2 returns... it moves a major amount of water on high and still does great on low and has plenty of flow for my SWG on high and low..
