So installed a new pump a week ago everything seems great, got some rain in last night and I woke up to the pool half empty. Not sure where to even start. No visible cracks or anything like that filling it up now and I'll see if it drains overnight. Any advice or how I can test anything?

Not enough info for us to help at this point I think. hard to check for a "wet" area just after a rain.
Does the pump run at night? Maybe it sprung a leak and emptied the pool. First thing to check is all the plumbing connections. I would fill it up, turn on the pump and hope for an obvious plumbing leak.
