We like to use outdoor timers to run the pump. We had one a few years back that worked great and lasted a few years. Didn't think to write down brand, etc. But, we couldn't find one like it at the time, and every one we get since then has not held up. I like the kind that has the override switch for easy on off. Can anyone recommend a good one that won't burn out as quickly? THank!

Your can get them at HD or Lowes among other places. Just make sure you get the right one for your power application (110 vs 220). Here are a couple good listings of the basic models:

I've had an inexpensive Woods timer for about 2 years. So far so good.
