My booster pump was making a loud noise. Now, it won't cut on. If I need to get a new motor how much am looking to pay?

The motor alone is around $150 to $250 depending on where you get it. You will also need a new shaft seal which will be another $10 to $20.
I replaced mine a couple years ago with this one:

It is a 3/4 hp booster motor. I really like it a lot. You have to figure out what motor you have now, then find a similar one. Then just remove the motor, replace the seal and put it all back together. The only problem I had was getting the impeller off, but I took it to Warehouse Pool Supply and they took it off for me.
