Looking for recommendations for filter- 27 ft. pool, roughly 4 to 4 1/2 ft deep

What size or what particular pump/filter combo would you recommend for my pool? Thanks for any help.

Generally you do not want to buy a combo unit as the filters are too small and the pumps too big.

For your size pool, I would recommend a 1HP 2-speed pump and the following filter sizes:
Cartridge: 250 sqft
sand: 24" diameter
DE: 50 sqft

You could go a little smaller on the filter since your season will be fairly short.

I've got a 24' ag pool 52" deep 13600 gallons and I have a Pentair sand dollar sand filter SD60 with 1.5 hp Pentair pump and Ive got no complaints with the setup.

I have had good luck out of the Hayworth System.I finally replaced the pump with a 2 speed this year.
