Extend lighting conduit

Hi,

Just wondering if someone has extended the conduit from the forming shell to the jbox. We're trying to extend conduit to relocate the jbox. Thanks for your help!

Someone just moved their box a few days ago. You can not have underground wire splices so can not extend it unless you put in a new fixture with longer wire.

Thanks for the quick response! Will I need to rethread or will a coupling with two direct burial ground clamps with a 8awg to bond the old and new pipe work? Sorry I haven't threaded a pipe before.

I have no idea what the proper procedure is for extending the conduit.

Sorry I may have forgotten to mention this is a brass conduit

I would think you need to extend the brass. The conduit needs to be water tight as well. I just do not know the related building codes.

I think you need an electrician experienced with pool construction.
