Opened...first numbers with my brand new TF100

Opened pool today, thousands of worms! Kids were grossed out...LOL!! Very clean considering I have a mesh safety cover. Never had it open this clean while running Baqua-Crud! I think I am to bring to shock level now, right? Using pool calculator that has me adding 5 gallons of bleach to get to a shock level of 12.

TA- 90
CH- 130
CYA- 40
Temp- COLD!!!

Congrats on opening to a clean pool! You know we want to see a pic

Recheck your shock level for CYA of 40. I'm getting around 15 or 16.

Hey guys, it IS good to be back again! Thanks Butterfly, I did forget to enter the CYA value for calculating the shock. I will be getting it to shock tonight so I'll adjust now. Sun is almost setting so we will see how much it drops overnight. Latest numbers:

Added 5 gallons of bleach at 2 PM, reading 15 minutes later:
FC- 13.0
CC- 0.0
TC- 13.0
Temp- COLD!!!

Reading at 8:15 PM, 6 hours after initial bleach
FC- 8.0
CC- 0.5
TC- 8.5
Temp- still COLD!!!

Going to add 3 gallons of bleach to get to a shock level of 15. PIC sizes are too big, I'll edit them and post asap. See ya'll in the morning!

Not crystal clear but not too shabby for 7 months under a loop loc mesh cover! I've never been more pleased with my BBB pool!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Trouble Free Pool!

Added 3 gallons of bleach at 8:30 PM, reading 10 minutes later:
FC- 14.0
CC- 0.5
TC- 14.5
Temp- COLD!!! but I think 1/2 degree warmer! :-D

Ha, i WAS heading to bed but so much going on in my life I couldn't sleep.

Checked numbers this morning at 8:30 AM:

FC- 14.5
CC- 0.0
Temp- 58F

Vacuumed up all the sediment that fell to the bottom. Looks ever BETTER this morning. I am a happy camper. I couldn't imagine an opening like this with Baquacil...

Well, I've never heard of FC going UP with an overnight test

I'm assuming one or the other is a typo, but either way close enough that you shouldn't have to keep shocking!

You are correct, the FC reading this morning was indeed 14.0
