    Question painting/staining over cool deck

We have an older ( maybe 20 year old) deck that was coated with cool deck. It's not in bad shape but we had to have a section replaced and need to stain/paint it to match. I have been told the stains today for new concrete are gerat and easy to apply. My question is if or how can I stain the whole deck even over the cool desk so it will match. The cool deck has several bare spots and a few minor cracks I need to fix.

I THINK (please note I said THINK as I am not really sure) you would need to pressure wash your current deck using a high power washer to get it clean and as much loose stuff up. Surface prep is always step one.

As for how and what to use to stain? I do not know of any so will not speak of that.
