liner install question

I need to patch the vermiculite bottom. Would it hurt to leave pool open with out liner for a few days. if it starts to rain or if I have to work. thanks

You may be well ahead of me, but I'm not sure. Is this pool already drained?

Quicker is better. You'll end up with a lot of leaves, etc. in the bottom that are hard to deal with. That said, the bottom can handle a couple days exposure unless you have a real downpour.
