Closing an in ground pool in Florida?

I would like some info on how to close an in ground, in door (vinyl windows) pool in South Central Florida?

I think you have your seasons mixed up

There are not really good options to do so when the water temperature is above the 60s.

Can you provide more info on what you are trying to accomplish and why?

Leaving for the "North" and not sure what to do about a pool in the South.

This is an extended period of time away we assume? Will you be having anyone watching this residence for you during your absence that may be able to maintain the pool for you?
