Pool volume question. ..

Just curious the forum's thoughts on measuring volume on a Gretian shaped pool. ...Use the rectangular multiplier of 7.5 and factor out the corners (guesstimation) or use the Oval multiplier of 5.9 and add a bit, since it is not a true oval Just a thought I was having and would liked to get others opinions on such.

I think either would work to get you started. To fine-tune your initial guess, the Poolmath calculator steps-in to assist. So if you "believe" your pool volume is 20K, then you use the calculator to adjust (with bleach) what you think should go from 4 FC to 8 FC (as an example), but the amount of bleach you add doesn't make it to 8 FC, then your volume estimate was probably low (you have more water than you thought). The opposite would be true if you tried to go from an FC of 4 to FC of 8, and instead tested later to find it went-up to 10, then your pool volume guess was too high (you have less water than you initially thought).
