Last Nov, I had my 4' to 7' deep, 12'x24' plaster pool renovated to a 3.8' deep x 12'x24' pebblesheen pool. Approx gals went from 12.2k to 8.4k. right now pool is coming alive with winter temp of 49 leaving for 67 and rising every day. Running Nat Gas to equipment area is cost prohibitive, so I decided to go with a heat pump; just haven't figured out the BTU size yet.
Here is my goal: Typically I started getting in the pool on 1 May (82F) and closed it mid October (82F). I would like to go to at least until 1 DEC and reopen on 1 APR. Does anyone in the PHX area have experience with a heat pump? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
