Is this the boric acid I need?

Hi

I'm thinking of adding borates to my pool.

Pool Calculator says I need 20 KG of boric acid to get to 50ppm. Is this type in the link all I need. So many different prices online.

Make sure you have Muratic Acid on hand - Borates will cause the PH to rise dramatically. My recommendation would be to add the borates in 1/3 doses with Muratic acid each time.

This is only required when adding borates such as 20 Team Mule Borax. When adding boric acid it is mostly PH neutral.

Yeah, pH rise is when using borax or sodium tetraborate pentahydrate (ProTeam Supreme). Boric acid is slightly acidic

This is exactly why I prefer to use boric acid instead of the other borate products. So much simpler not having to deal with acid additions.
