Anyone have plans for wedding cake steps for outside the pool?

Hey guys. Since the village wants 42" concrete piers poured for a simple pool deck I'm looking at other options to get in the pool this year. I was thinking we could build some nice wooden wedding cake steps instead. I can't seem to find any plans though. I'm no master craftsman but I think this is something I could tackle with some guidance.

We bought plastic stairs when we bought the pool that were $599 and they haven't stood up well.

Anyone have anything they could link me to?

I am going to guess your pool is round? I will do some thinking and looking. Have you tried google? This could be fun to watch!

Will they let you build on deck blocks? The 42" is likely needed to get you below your frost line. But often you can build a small deck on deck blocks.
