    OPinions Flexble PVC Piping

I used some of this a few years ago with 0 problems. Seems to me to be great stuff. Recently I have been having some pool problems and a "professional" looked at my set up and was horrified by the flex pipe.... Seeking opinions.

You will find that people up north where the ground moves a lot during freeze cycles like the stuff, but everyone else hates it, there are many threads on this topic you can find with the search function.

I have used the 2" black flex a couple of times in koi ponds and it always held up great for many years. As Isaac says it is generally frowned upon here at TFP. The worst thing I have seen with the flex is that it can collapse on the suction side between skimmers and pump and it has to be dug up and replaced. But, I have only seen a few instances of catastrophic failures of flex PVC.

I'm only using it on very short runs to my pump.
