Gunite Question

Ideally the soil should not be wet as that will increase the water/cement ratio and decrease the cured strength of the gunite. In some instances this is unavoidable but should be prevented.

How much water is in the hole?

I hope he doesnt shoot over puddles!?!?! :) "wetting" the soil before pouring is normal in hot climates' it helps to delay the concrete from curing so fast depending on the mix design. This being said, my experience is in typical concrete mix not shotcrete or gunnite, but i would put my money on any concrete mix being affected in its w/c ratio when u pour it over any considerable body of water. If your soil is mud when being poured , i would hold back if it were me, but if its just wet being it was a normal rainy day then i wouldnt worry. Just my opinion. :)
