Flow through Zodiac G2 to to high

I have a Zodiac G2 and have the flow valve setting at 1. When I attach the pool pulse flow meter it reads 5 which is to high. The creepy crawly is not moving because the suction is to high.
The pool pump is on the lowest setting. Any idea how I can reduce the flow?

Place a restriction on the pressure side of your system. Narrower eyeballs, partially closing a valve, etc.

That restriction on the pressure side will increase the psi but will reduce the flow on the suction side.

Don't be confused because your psi gauge will go up......you are restricting flow on the suction side and that's what your cleaner apparently needs.....less flow.
