New Pump Advice Please

Not that I necessarily have an issue with my current pump, but I see that there are more energy efficient options out there as mine is eating through my electric bill.

I'm curious of what you guys recommend for a pump with a 30K+ gallon pool in full sun.

Also on a side issue how long would you guys recommend running the pump?

There is a great article in Pool School about how to determine you run time. Generally only need a few hours a day for circulation, but there may be other factors requiring longer run times.

A 2 speed pump is generally recommended unless your electricity is very expensive. And you want the smallest pump that provides you with adequate circulation, which depends on your pool details and flow requirements.
