    Welcome! Glad to have you!

I also have a 20x40 pool, but mine is only 27K gallons. You may want to check your volume. There is a rough calculator at the bottom on the PoolMath page.

According to poolmath it is correct. I got the number from a pool contractor that came to the house. Deep end is 10'. Shallow is 3.5'

what are your depths on your pool?

    Welcome!

10' is certainly over the average deepest residential pools for sure, especially these days.
