Compool cp100 touch pad

Hello all,
New to this site and to pools. I have a question on the indoor touchpad, specifically what the adjustment screw located on the lower right side of panel. Could it be to calibrate temp sensor? If so, what is used for cross reference. THX.

I would think that you should put an accurate thermometer in your pool, then use that reading to calibrate your temp sensor using the adjust screw.

That has been my thought too, but so far haven't found any concrete info as to if that is the correct step to follow....
