I can't get my pool to prime after the pump filter basket got filled with leaves. I emptied that but there is no flow. This is first time I've ever dealt with this problem... Plz help.

HI! Poor thing what a way to start at TFP! I hope we can help you figure out what is wrong.
I am going to guess that some of the leaves got clogged or stuck somewhere. I would turn off the pump and throw the breaker to it. Feel all around as much as you can and see if you can find the clog. Maybe you can stick a hose in towards the pool and see if that will loosen things up.

Fill the pump basket with a hose of a bucket of water, seal it up then quickly start the pump. That will usually help get it to prime.
I thought of something last night. Did you clean out the skimmer baskets as well?

IM a newbie but I have to turn off the valves on the incoming side of the pump on mine to get mine to refill and prime
Here are my steps
turn off pump
close 3 incoming valves
open pump dome
empty basket
replace basket
refill w bucket and reclose with pump dome and lock
open valves - IMPORTANT
turn on pump
