Hey TFP, I just moved into a house with a pool and having issues with my pool pump (PFII-P1-3/4). :( When I turn the pump on, the motor (USQ1072) hums for a few seconds and shuts off. It's been doing this on & off since moving in a month ago, and finally it stopped working completely. I took apart the Wet End to check for debris and everything looks good. With the motor detached from the Wet End I tried turning it and it wont budge. I ordered a new motor from Amazon, everything on the specs match except for the SF original 1.27, new one says 1.30. From what I understand the Service Factor shouldn't make a big difference? I also ordered O-ring rebuild kit with the Shaft seal. Unfortunately I didn't check how the Shaft seal was oriented and don't want to make a mistake reassembling it. Does anyone know the correcting seating? Also any advice, tips? This is my first pool & very excited to get it going, below links to the parts I ordered & pictures of current parts. Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the reply. I added a couple of pictures of the PS200 seal. The top one SIDE A is all black with a lip. SIDE B is flat & has a metal ring with black center. I found the manual online http://www.pentairpool.com/pdfs/PinnacleOM.pdf and has them labeled as Seal Rubber Ring, Carbon Polished Face, & Ceramic Polished Face on page 9 with a schematic. Although I still find the labeling confusing. I think the ceramic face should come in contact with the SIDE A. Please let me know if that is correct. Also the motor came in from Amazon and the SF is 1.27, dunno why they rounded up to 1.30 on the listing.

:D Thank you both for the replies! I just finished installing the new motor and everything seems to be working fine so far. I did have some issues trying to remove one of the screws on the back cap of the old motor to get to the wires. The screw was pretty badly stripped, and I tried everything to get it off (Speed out drill bit didn't work, tried a cutting a new notch with a dremel didn't work either. I was able to remove the elbow from the motor and cut the wires. Doing that though, left me guessing which was the hot wire and neutral (both wires were black) or if it was set to 230. Luckily I had a non-contact voltage tester and multimeter to make sure. My breaker panel for the pool pump looked like a single, which made think otherwise. Now to work on the chemistry part of the pool! :whoot:
