Hi
new pool is under construction and will be done next week. What chemicals beyond stabilizer, chlorine, and muratic acid should I purchase? Also, the pool calculator references "soda ash" for lowering PH; is that the same as baking soda?

thanks

I would limit it to those three until your testing reveals the need for something else.

No, soda ash is different from baking soda and it raises pH rather than lowering it. Check out the ABCs of Pool,Water Chemestry in Pool School.

Welcome to TFP! With many new pools, a PB will supply you with test strips. Here, in the TFP Community, we rely on accurate testing in order to maintain a trouble free pool. If you have not done so, please take a few minutes and read through Pool School, which will provide you a wealth of information. Below is a link to some of the recommended test kits. Once you perform the first set of tests, please post them so we can assist you further. Additionally, there is a link to some of the video's. Thanks!
