I'm living proof this stuff works!

Folks,

I just thought I'd pass on some great news. I'm very, very new to this TFP technique. I just took over my pool Oct 31 armed with only my TF-100, basic chemicals, and a thorough reading and re-reading of Pool School I started complete testing every day for about 4 days and then most of the tests for the rest of the week. Then I had to make an adjustment to ph, it worked great but then the big challenge (well for novice me anyway) I had to leave town for 9 days! I was sooooo tempted to call the pool people again but I went ahead and did total immersion in all the threads about how to plan to be away. After looking at my average % FC drop I estimated the amount to add to get to about 24 ppm FC and added acid to get my ph on the low end then headed for the airport... just got here an hour ago and guess what? IT WORKED!! Pool looks great and FC is back down to 3.5 ppm right about where I thought it would be. CYA came up a smidge as I hoped with the trichlor addition and I only need to add some acid, and some more trichlor in the morning to get ph back and slowly build my CYA up to the min recommended level.

So if you're just lurking around on here and wondering if you can do this you're just like me a few weeks ago. I'm living proof you can do this. Just read, and read again pool school. Then take the plunge (no pun intended). Even though I'm barely started on the learning curve, I'm really pumped! My wife is even a believer now too!

It really is amazing isn't it. Pool is crystal clear and you can predict it will be that way tomorrow. Keep reading and you will find ways to make it even less work and more predictable.

YOU are awesome! You ordered a test kit, used it AND read!!!!

It is neat to see how you are already able to predict what your pool will do. After a while you will be able to just look at your pool and know what it wants. I still test but...........I am always right! LOL
