I have a Centurion 2hp motor B855 56Y. Upon turning on it hums, turns the shaft slowly, then clicks off in a safety protection after about 20 seconds. I put in a new capacitor but it does the same thing. Impeller is clear and spins freely. I have also tried turning it on and tapping the motor with no luck. Anything else I should try...???

i would varify that you're getting the proper voltage, but it sounds like you need a new motor.
If you can spin the impellor freely, and have replaced the capacitor, then you probably need a new motor. I would assume a shirt in the winding is the issue.
Replaced the motor and all is well again. However, I may pull the old motor apart just to see if I can find that missing shirt.
