    Mustard Algae?

    I don't know if this mustard algae or pollen. I just see this yellowish film floating on the surface. See attached pic. Thanks to the board in advance. TJ

    I receive my tf-100 test kit on Monday, will post results. Meant to ask the board if they have any thoughts if this is mustard algae or pollen. My pool water is pretty clear.
    28,000 gallon IG pool, plaster, built approx. 1970.
    1 1/2 " plumbing. Pentair, Intelliflo 3 hp variable speed.

    Looks like pollen. Mustard algae would be on the walls and/or the floor in areas of low circulation.

    Agree, this looks just like some scum floating on the surface. Pollen or maybe someone mowing some dry grass nearby.
